Today is the first post in our Sponsorship Profile series. Genuine Innovations actively sponsors a variety of different events and individuals in both the cycling and motorsports industries.
Our first profile is Mical Dyck is a 29 year-old female professional cyclist based out of Victoria, BC, and representing Trek Pro City. She has been riding and racing for 8 years, and is currently competing as an unpaid pro, while working full time, against the top women in the world. She has represented Canada at various World Cup and World Championship mountain bike events throughout her career and was selected as the female rider for the 2010 World Championship Canadian Relay Team. In 2010, Mical finished 3rd at Canadian Mountain Bike Nationals in Canmore, Alberta, and is looking to move up on the podium for 2011. For the past 2 seasons, she has raced both of the 7-day mountain bike stage races; BC Bike Race and Transrockies on a co-ed team, and finished 2nd and 1st respectively both years.
At the end of the mountain bike season, Mical rubs shoulders with the best North American female cyclocross racers with a full cross season. In the off season she is an avid cross country skier, runner, and coffee drinker.
The 2011 season has an early start this season with Pan American Championships in Bogota, Columbia the first weekend in April. The 2011 season is going to be very busy with a full World Cup schedule, a few Canada Cup and Island Cup events and the World Championships in Switzerland at the end of the season. Genuine Innovations technology and products are going to be a great asset to aiding her to top performance at each event. Mical is currently training hard for the 2011 season in hopes of making the Canadian Team for the 2012 Olympics in London.
